Construction is near completion on Abtrex Industries’ new state-of-the-art fabrication shop and office complex at our South Bend, Indiana location. The new facility replaces the old fiberglass fabrication building that caught fire last November due to a faulty heat exchanger. Boasting 3,200 square feet of office space, 16,000 square feet of fabrication space, two 15-ton cranes with 28 feet under hook, and three overhead doors, this new shop will allow us to better serve our customers’ fabrication and rubber lining needs. Abtrex has started moving welders, positioners and other fabrication equipment over to the new facility and plans to take occupancy and be fully operational by the end of September.
